The Moorings and sister company Sunsail have the largest and youngest fleet in the charter industry. To attest to the newness of the yachts used in each program, the majority of Moorings yachts are less than 3 years old and none are more than 6 years old. As an owner, it means that you will always spend your holidays on a state of the art yacht equipped with the most recent devices.
Between our Beneteau monohulls and Leopard catamarans, our fleet is full of yachts that have won Boat of the Year awards: A true testament to the quality of yachts available to you.
THE BENEFITS OF A HOMOGENEOUS FLEET
You do not have to worry about the specifications of your boat as we selected the best brands of the industry for you: Beneteau Group for our monohulls, Leopard Catamarans for our multihulls, Raymarine for the electronics, Yanmar for our engines, etc.
We understand how to best operate and maintain a global charter ownership program and have designed our fleet in accord with this. Identical specifications of each yacht allows for maintaining interchangeable parts for different yacht models. Spare parts inventory at the different bases allows for efficient and timely maintenance of your yacht.
Simply put, our homogenous fleet keeps your boat maintained, operating and available for you to use by minimizing repair times. It also means that you will have access to the exact same boat from one destination to another (unless you want to try a different boat).
WHAT IS A BASE?
While some charter companies consider a base/destination as having one boat in a third-party marina, we have a different policy:
For The Moorings, a base is a dedicated facility that we own, with a full staff, amenities, and maintenance.We also ensure our bases offer adequate fleet size (at least 15 and up to 340 yachts) to provide reasonable availability to owners. A "base" with less than 15 boats will very rarely be available to the owners.
