Ask a Charter Boat Owner with a Two-Time Owner

September 15, 2021 | News

There’s more than one way to live the boat life, and for many people, charter ownership is the way to go. Just ask Jeff Monuszko, a (nearly) life-long participant in The Moorings charter program.

If you’re curious about charter ownership, we invite you to tune into our previously recorded live stream presentation. It’s a chance to gain unique insights from someone who grew up sailing on Moorings charters and has owned two charter boats.

What was covered?

In this video, Jeff explains how he researched his ownership options and why he chose the Moorings charter model over traditional ownership. He also shared some of what he’s learned during 20-plus years of partnering with The Moorings family of companies.  For example, mindset is key. While it’s easy to get emotionally attached to your boat, letting go of that possessiveness allows an owner to reap tremendous rewards, including, in his case, “five years of “free-ish” sailing adventure vacations. The live stream also includes an overview of The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program and Jeff’s answers to participant’s questions-- even the tough ones!

What did people think?

Jeff's Ask a Charter Boat Owner presentation drew rave reviews from the live stream’s audience, who appreciated the first-person insight. "Excellent presentation from an actual owner.  He answered a lot of questions I had and also encouraged me to explore the ownership program more thoroughly," said one viewer. And another reviewer shares, "This was a great presentation! The owner Jeff knew all the answers. I am glad you didn't avoid the hard questions."

We invite you to press play on the video above and enjoy the recorded live stream!

Yachtsyle: Kit explains: 'Even at 24 knots, the hull doesn’t plane, giving her very good handling and a flat running angle with minimal bow rise. But the 53 PC isn’t just a fast cruising powercat. Because of the full displacement hull design and low fuel consumption, she’s also a very capable long-distance passage maker at lower speeds.'

Multihulls World: Renewed design, but specifically with hulls 100% designed as a motor boat, and XXL-sized volume: this new 53 PC is clearly taking on the luxury power monohull sector. And her arguments are very convincing.
